No one reads your chats over your shoulder.
Peekless blurs WhatsApp Web and clears it the instant you need to read. It reacts when you look away, when you go idle, and — if you want — when someone else appears in front of your camera.
Free. No account. No ads. Chrome and Edge.
Two ways to stay private
Pick the one that fits where you are. They are mutually exclusive — running an always-on blur and a camera guard at once means fighting a blur you asked the camera to manage.
Simple protection
Your chats stay blurred all the time. Hover over a message to read it, and it re-blurs the moment you move away. Right for cafés, trains and shared desks.
Camera guard
Your screen stays completely clear while you are alone, and blurs the moment a second face appears — or a face that isn't yours sits down. Right for your own desk.
It also reacts to things a camera can't see
You look away
Clicking to another window blurs everything instantly — which also covers the moment you start a screen share.
You go idle
After a timeout you choose, the screen dims and then blurs. Move the mouse and it comes straight back.
Panic key
Alt+Shift+X blurs everything immediately. Alt+Shift+R
clears it again — and that shortcut is never locked or delayed.
Optional: teach it your face
Enrol once and Peekless blurs for anyone it doesn't recognise — including a single person who sits down at your unlocked machine while you're away. Face counting alone can never catch that, because one stranger is still just one face.
This is privacy assist, not a security lock. It decides whether to blur a screen — nothing more. It is not authentication, and a photograph held up to the camera would fool it. We would rather say so than imply otherwise.
The privacy promise
Peekless has no server. There is nothing for your data to be sent to, and no code in it that could send it.

Get Peekless
Install from the Chrome Web Store, open WhatsApp Web, and reload the tab once. That's it — protection is on by default, and the camera stays off until you turn it on.
